august 4, 2007 a trip to iba, zambales (dawal resort)
we had a 5- hour drive going to iba on a 2 - van convoy. we were on the road at 4 pm and got to the resort at 12 am. it was far and we got lost on our way. it was rainy that day and some of the roads weren't brightly lit, which made it dangerous to speed up. i was headachy on that trip but the ache eased up after the pill. it was amazing to see my girls remained composed because they knew that they're heading to a place that's fun!
we reached dawal resort by 12 am. past 12 we were having fun swimming in the pool. we hit the sack at past 1 am - - zonked out!
woke up at 6 am to see what the resort has in store for us. it was damp out. rain started to trickle. everyone were up early as well. i took the girls to the beach area. . . it was heavenly!! from the shore was a vista of putipot island, which they say was surrounded by white sands. a boat needs to be rented out to get there. it was heart warming to accept a word of appreciation from my girls. they said "mommy, thank you for taking us here."
that remark definitely started my day right. we frolicked in the sand, play with the waves, breathe the fresh air and indulge to the beauty of nature before us. i held off tho' taking the girls to the island after noticing stronger waves. it also started to rain. the girls wanted the pool so i took them there.
my niece, jay anne, after the boat trip to putipot, handed me over a heart shaped white rock.
we left the resort august 5 at 3 pm.
